Jeff Corbett

I’ve worked at the intersection of real estate and technology for over 20 years. I originally launched this website 14 years ago as a dynamic sounding board for my aspirational and actual business ventures, soliciting opinion by slinging it in a pretty raw but fact-driven form. The XBroker in name because I am an ex real estate broker, ex mortgage broker, and ex contractor.

My formal education is in molecular biology and psychology. My adult education started in a management program at a large southeast regional bank. The legitimate entrepreneurial education started when I bought my first investment home at the courthouse steps and continued by starting the three aforementioned businesses, which lead me into what are now called the ‘proptech’ and ‘fintech’ industries.

My last three full-time jobs were executive-level positions at a sector-leading real estate SaaS company, a proptech Venture Capital firm, and a burgeoning consumer brand in the mortgage and real estate settlement services space. I’m most astute at sales/revenue and product-driven marketing strategy. Roles are almost always cross-functional given my numerous start-up/early-stage company experiences.

In mid 2019, I launched a little strategic consulting firm for those companies looking to scope and scale their product or service through the real estate industries, leveraging my network and skills above.

As of December 2020, I’ve dusted off The XBroker dot com. There’s a lot of interesting (forced) change going on around these industries and I usually have an opinion to sling 😉
