Jeff, please explain how this will work from a reality standpoint where wholesale/correspondent rates are confidential and vary from lender to lender.

How is this any different from a company that currently discloses thier total compensation received to a borrower ?

so how does a lender get paid when the client wants a no point, no origination fee loan? or do you assume that a 1% loan origination fee is a normal closing cost? enjoyed you at Inman.. fun place huh?

Great work Jeff,
I always have been a believer that YSP should be used as a tool for the benefit of the consumer and not as a way to squeeze more money out of homeowners.

I recently encountered a couple that was being pressured to refinance into an Option ARM and the mortgage broker would have gotten paid a total of 3.5 points between the points he was charging and the YSP. Unbelievable how some of these guys have no conscience
This was my post about it:

Transparency, transparency, transparency is what we need!

@ Mark...My guess is you have an aversion to technology due to a lack of knowledge as to how it all 'works' and/or how to implement.
Realtor.com has incorrect, horrendously dated information...it is probably the worst representation of real estate coupled with technology on the planet. So if Realtor.com site is your barometer for real estate technology, I understand your quick dismissal, continuing to hedge your bets with yard signs.

Blogging leverages who you are as an agent, it works when you don't, lining up clients while you sleep.

@ Brian...Thx!

Web technology is the biggest fraud in the history of real estate. Blogs, drip campaigns, millions of cloned sites with all of the same inventory, etc. are absolutely zapping the productivity of agents.

Realtor.com has all the listings...every other homes portal "wannabee" is a redundancy.

An information box in the front yard of a home will slaughter technology's ROI every time!

I laugh when I think of thousands of bleary eyed agents sitting in front of their computer Blogging while I am out meeting clients for lunch, listing their homes.

I can't wait for RealEstateShows new scratch and sniff option on their virtual tour. You could select 70's disco for your music and cat urine for your virtual home odor
